It's time to get to know one of our members!
What's your hometown?
How did you hear about MCF and what made you decide to try it?
A friend kept telling me how much she enjoyed the workouts at Mercury CrossFit so I had to check it out.
What was your first experience like?
I can still remember doing lunges in a WOD and thinking I needed to work on those at home. So at home I started a lunge and had to ask my wife to help me back up from the lunge. My leg muscles were so sore!
What's your favorite WOD? Least favorite?
Favorite WOD is Elizabeth because I like Cleans and Ring Dips and its my mom's name. Least favorite is Kelly because I'm not a fan of 150 Wall Balls.
Favorite cheat meal?
Pizza with soda and a chocolate chip cookie.
When did you start at MCF?
Fall of 2014
What motivates you?
Working out with others and setting goals to work on movements to become better and seeing how I have become stronger and more flexible.
What are some of your accomplishments in and out of the box?
In the box accomplishments would be the flexibility I have gained and that leads to better CrossFit movements with heavier weights. Outside the box I have won 1 State Championship in Ohio at motocross racing and 2 State Championships in Texas at Cross Country racing on dirt bikes.
What are some of your interests outside of CF?
Working with wood and metal to design and develop different types of projects.
